an explanation

Sometime after I'd done, like, 30 blogs already for the Fear Mythos, sometime in 2014, I wanted to get Weirder. I had been getting into some conceptual art and wanted to make Art with blogs. So I brainstormed with my friend Lindsay and together we came up with some pseudonyms, really more like alter-egos, by the names of Christoph Magreat (me) and Jesus Archangard (Lindsay). We talked for a while on some fundamental concepts we wanted to approach, and we would each work to represent those concepts with our blogs. Most of the blogs we made were "individual," with only a few collaborations, but truthfully some of the individual blogs were collaborations!

Lindsay kept working on Archangard blogs well after I petered out, though I didn't intend on stopping altogether. I'd been working Magreat into being a more general character within my other stories, and my Magreat projects were often ambitious things that wouldn't be easy to make anyway (Viceking's Graab is the main example, something of the definitive Magreat work, a labyrinth made up of 70 blogs).

We also had this idea, which didn't really pan out, that we would eventually recruit other people to make their own alter-egos, and we'd assemble a big artistic collective, the Dead Fear Group. In theory, that idea is still open, so if you want to join us, get in contact! Furthermore, Archangard & Magreat in general are not dead! I would love to make more Magreat blogs, I just gotta.. figure one out.

Look, uh, this page is gonna take a while to finalize, and I expect I'll be adding to and tweaking these paragraphs, so. This is good enough for now.
