This is a series of art pieces focused on the format of a blog. Rather than doing it as fictional narratives hosted on customized blogs (which was standard by the time of this series), I was interested in exploring the format itself. Over the course of a few years, I made seven of these, and am currently working on a long-form eighth installment.
composition no. is the name of the series. "no" is to be read as opposed to "yes." The reference to actual art conventions is intentional, where an artist (generally a Visual artist) will produce untitled pieces of a series, and they will be referred to as "composition number 1" and so on. These blogs do basically count as examples of that, so it's not a big deal if you refer to them as "number 1" and so on, but, I did have intentions here, wanted to make that clear.
The compositions were originally created on Blogger, and in recreating them for my Website there are some differences. I consider the versions here on the Website to be the definitive releases. However, I will provide links to the originals for posterity:
